March 26, 6.30 – 9.30 pm…………………...Portrait in Watercolor We will learn structure, proportions and values of the head and how to apply it in watercolor. We will focus on loose approach, resulting in fresh, lively paintings. Following simple steps, you will be able to build a portrait quickly and loosely. $50 class + $25 materials
April 2, 6.30 – 9.30 pm………………….Life Drawing with a Model This non-instructional session is with a nude model. Poses will range from short to long and participants are to bring their own materials (contact Irina for materials suggestions). $25 if paid by March 26 $30 after deadline (drop ins are welcome, no registration is required)
April 9, 6.30-9.30 pm………………Color Mixing Bootcamp Part 1 April 30,6.30–9.30 pm……………..Color Mixing Bootcamp Part 2 Do you struggle with clean, vibrant colors in your paintings and get mud instead? Through multiple exercises you will gain better understanding of color relationships, temperature, shades and tones. You can work in oil or acrylic. If you were looking to try oil painting, this is a great opportunity to do so without investment into your own materials. This workshop is excellent for beginner painter as color mixing and paint handling will be addressed in depth, as well as experienced painters to gain better understanding of color theory. $100 + $50 material fee for both sessions $50 + $25 material fee for one session to get full benefit, both sessions are recommended
WEEKLY SESSIONS Painting in Acrylics or Oil April 10 - May 15 Thursdays, 10.30 AM to 1.30 PM 6.30 PM to 9.30 PM Oil and Acrylics are both an opaque medium and follow the same techniques. Working from life and photos, we will learn about brushwork, composition, perspective and color mixing. You will learn through demonstrations and experience.
